Tests of ground-based systems for control precipitation.

In November 2012 was made a trip to Havana (Cuba). The purpose of the trip was organisation tests of ground-based acetone generator from project Cuba-Venezuela (control sedimentation). As a working device was selected ground-based acetone generator, Chile. Working solution is a solution of silver iodide and potassium iodide in acetone.

The generator has been tested in the flow of the horizontal wind tunnel (research test bench of scientific - production association Typhoon).

  • in the process of tests was established a flow rate equal to 2, 5 and 10 meters per second.
  • operating pressure of the system 1.5 atmospheres
